About us

MATRQL8SHUN Group was created by Dr. Baron Brown, who currently works as a Senior Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant/Project consultant. He is also a former Diversity, Equity & Inclusion officer for a  Southern CA municipality, and he has served country, community, and future leaders in the U.S Military, Law enforcement and higher education, respectively. In addition to his doctorate in Educational Leadership, he holds Master’s degrees in both Business Administration and Public Administration, which gives him the academic and professional expertise to appreciate both public policy obligations and fiscal responsibilities of various types of organizations. Dr. Brown has displayed proven leadership skills in all of the industries in which he has served. He retired as a sergeant from L.A. County Sheriff’s Dept. after being injured in the line of duty. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard/Coast Guard Reserve after a stellar career, where he climbed from 3rd class petty officer to the rank of Captain after 32 years of service. Further, he retired as the Academic Senate president, former program manager, department chair, and senior faculty for Criminal Justice and Homeland Security at Chaffey College.

In 2020, with the global challenges of COVID-19 and various civil rights movements in the U.S., Dr. Brown recognized the need that hundreds of organizations had to adapt to a highly sensitive and critical workplace and consumer environment. The company was created in order to provide professional consulting services to organizational leaders, in the public sector and in the private and non-profit sectors. With over 30 years of military experience, 20+ years of sworn law enforcement experience, 25+ years of experience in higher education, and 20+ years of municipal government experience, Dr. Brown is well-suited to partner with industry leaders on a variety of workplace issues. He holds Ed.D., MPA and MBA degrees to complement his extensive work experience.
